What's in a name?

Soma refers to mind and body as one.  Rehabilitation, in this context, refers to the somatic re-working of our habitual patterns of behaviour, and the somatic support of the new. 

Somatic Rehabilitation is the name Sheree was presented with, when she sought a name for what she does.  Utilising the tools and techniques found In Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, Sheree works in mindful awareness to assist in bringing unconscious awareness into the present moment, where it can be observed.

 

What's in it for me?

Working with present moment experience, Sheree uses the Hakomi Mindful Somatic Method of Psychotherapy (Hakomi) to assist you in recognising, acknowledging and working with this material.

 

Hakomi is a trauma-informed modality, and Sheree has completed additional trauma training to work with and hold this extra layering of experience.
